February was a busy month here at Save the Family, and we want to be sure that you don’t miss out on all our wonderful news and acitivities! So, here is your monthly recap of this months Social Media posts!
8th February 2024
Today was such a success! 
Our community lunch project is all about teaching residents the skills they need to cook large meals on a budget and understand kitchen safety. And the result? A delicious mid-week roast for all to enjoy for a nominal fee, which goes straight back into the Families Fund! 
This is just one of the ways your donations can support our residents! 
9th February 2024
Huge shoutout to Qwest Services for joining us for a corporate volunteer day! 
They rolled up their sleeves and helped clean and paint one of our properties, making it a more welcoming space for our families. 
Not only that, but the Qwest staff also generously donated clothes and toys for our families. 
Thank you for your hard work and generosity, Qwest! 
And a special thank you to Stuart Terrace at JST Construction for donating the painting supplies!

Exciting news! Our Grants Coordinator Orly is taking on the three peaks challenge in September to raise funds for Save the Family! 
She’ll be climbing the three highest peaks in the UK within 24 hours, all to support our families! 
Can you help her reach her goal? Every donation, big or small, will make a huge difference to the lives of those in need. Head to her just giving page to show your support! If you aren’t able to donate, even hitting the share button will go a long way in spreading the word and helping Orly reach her target.

During LGBT+ History Month, it is important to remember why LGBT+ History Month was created: to claim our past, celebrate our present and create our future. 
Sadly, studies have shown that 20% of LGBT+ people have experienced homelessness, highlighting the important work of charities like Save the Family. Let’s continue to promote love, acceptance, and equality every month.

Happy leap year! 2024 brings us a BONUS day – why not use yours to spread the word about the amazing work we do here at Save the Family? Our custom-built rural community on the edge of Chester provides accommodation and support to vulnerable homeless families, and we couldn’t do this without the continued support of our volunteers, donors, fundraisers, and those who simply share our posts far and wide! A HUGE thankyou you to everyone who supports Save the Family, every moment you dedicate to supporting us goes a long way in helping our families!
